The Iron Deer Challenge
The Iron Deer Challenge
The Iron Deer stands motionless at the end of the course: flanks like iron—because they actually are iron—its gaze fixed on the archer, with a pile of shattered arrows before it. The challenge is simple but unforgiving: hit the Iron Deer from long range and earn your place on the list of successful challengers.
Below is a record of archers who have completed the Iron Deer Challenge from different distances. A name is added once a successful performance has been verified.
The challenge: One target, increasing distances, and only the steadiest continue to the next level. The Iron Deer forgives nothing: not poor bow or arrow tuning, a wind-reading error or a hurried shot.
